Canada Summer Jobs Grant
The 2016 Canada Summer Jobs application period for employers is from January 4 to February 26, 2016.
Canada Summer Jobs provides wage subsidies for not-for-profit organizations, public sector employers and small businesses with 50 or fewer full-time employees to create summer jobs for students between the ages of 15 and 30.
Private and public sector employers are eligible to receive funding for up to 50% of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage while non-for-profit employers are eligible to receive funding for up to 100% of the provincial or territorial minimum hourly wage.
Canada-Ontario Jobs Grant
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. The Job Grant will provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing or new employees.
Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit
The Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit (ATTC) is a refundable tax credit for corporations and unincorporated businesses employing apprentices in certain skilled trades during the first 36 months of an apprenticeship program.
Apprenticeship Completion Employer Bonus
Employers can earn a $1,000 taxable cash grant for each apprentice they employ and train who completes his or her apprenticeship, receives a Certificate of Apprenticeship and where applicable, a Certification of Qualification.
