Exeter BIA Asks for Member and Consumer Feedback
Exeter, ON – The Exeter Business Improvement Area (BIA) is undergoing a strategic planning process during the spring and summer of 2017.
“The BIA has successfully completed the majority of the actions from the previous strategic plans and it’s time for us to revisit and refresh priorities for the next four years,” says Fred Godbolt of Godbolt-Cuifo Insurance and Financial Services Inc, chair of the Exeter BIA.
For the 2018-2021 strategic plan, the BIA is collecting feedback from members and consumers. Both short surveys can be found on the BIA’s website, www.experienceexeter.ca, or through Facebook (Experience Exeter) or Twitter (@Exeter_ON). Feedback will be collected until May 5, at which point it will be organized for Board review.
“It’s crucial to the BIA Board of Management that we have feedback from our members on what they feel our priorities should be moving forward,” says Godbolt. “It’s also important for us to understand the wants of consumers that shop, eat and access services in Exeter so that we can work to make this a better community to live, work, play, visit and do business.”
The BIA’s Strategic Plan will be developed over the next 6 months, with the support of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA). The process will include two facilitated sessions and two member feedback collection periods.
“OMAFRA is involved in developing community economic development strategic plans across the province and we’re excited to be assisting with the Exeter BIA’s plan in 2017,” says Vicki Lass of OMAFRA, who will act as the facilitator and provide support for this project.
The final version of the strategic plan is set to launch in October 2017, just in time to guide budgeting and planning for 2018.
